Jeonnam Police Agency Holds Strategic Meeting to Strengthen Crime Prevention

Preparing for Summer Vacation Season, Jeonnam Police Station Responds to 112 Call Demand

Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency (Chief Park Jeong-bo) held a Crime Prevention and Response Strategy Meeting on the 1st to strengthen policies for crime response and prevention.


According to Jeonnam Police Agency on the 2nd, the meeting was attended by Park Jeong-bo, Chief of Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency, heads of departments related to crime prevention and response, and chiefs of 22 police stations.


The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen the crime prevention and response functions of Jeonnam Police Agency and cooperation among police stations, and to jointly discuss and promote crime prevention policies in a situation where the role of the police is gradually shifting to focus on crime prevention.

The meeting identified crime-vulnerable areas based on analysis of 112 emergency calls and the five major crimes, and shared crime prevention initiatives by each function and police station.


In particular, discussions were held on strategic deployment plans for mobile patrol units to respond to the increase in crime and 112 call demand due to seasonal factors such as the summer vacation period.


Park Jeong-bo, Chief of Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency, urged, “To respond to the increasing security demand during the summer season, the 22 police stations should utilize the Crime Prevention and Response Strategy Meeting to closely respond to the increasing security demand based on data analysis.”


It is expected that efforts to secure public safety and prevent crime in the Jeonnam region will be further strengthened through this ‘Crime Prevention and Response Strategy Meeting.’
