Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 2nd that it will operate the ‘Resident Capacity Building Class for Maintenance Projects’ to resolve complaints related to redevelopment and reconstruction maintenance projects and to support the rapid promotion of these projects.
The Resident Capacity Building Class, held at 2 p.m. on the 3rd at the Deulbul Hall of Seo-gu Office, will invite an expert from the Maintenance Project Support Department of the Urban Maintenance Division at the Korea Real Estate Board as a lecturer to provide education on understanding policies and procedures related to maintenance projects under the theme ‘Redevelopment and Reconstruction, Can Our Home Also Do It?’
This education session is open to anyone without prior registration.
Previously, Seo-gu conducted customized practical training last year for eight maintenance project promotion organizations, including redevelopment associations, and this year, in response to the increased demand for maintenance projects, it will additionally offer a basic course for residents.
Furthermore, Seo-gu plans to actively support various residential area maintenance by expanding the maintenance project education curriculum in the future.
Yoon Okmin, Director of the Housing Division, said, “Recently, residents of Seo-gu have shown great interest in redevelopment, reconstruction, and small-scale maintenance projects,” adding, “We will continue to seek effective administrative support measures for the swift and smooth promotion of maintenance projects.”
Meanwhile, Seo-gu plans to conduct capacity-building practical training for maintenance project association executives and staff in November.
