Conflict Between Two People Over Second Pregnancy Revealed

Heo Ung of the Busan KCC Egis in the Korean Basketball League has filed a complaint against his ex-girlfriend A for charges including extortion and threats, amid which alleged KakaoTalk conversations between Heo Ung and A have been posted on social networking services (SNS). On the 1st, former entertainment reporter turned YouTuber Lee Jin-ho uploaded a video titled "Heo Ung's Actual Reaction to Ultrasound Photo... Why the Ex-Girlfriend Got Angry." Jeong, known as A's same-sex partner, recently posted and then deleted KakaoTalk messages exchanged between Heo Ung and A on SNS, along with a note saying "Forensics Completed."

Woong filed a complaint against Mr. A on June 26 through his legal representative, accusing him of attempted extortion, threats, and violation of the Stalking Punishment Act. Through his agency, Key Player Agency, he stated, "I sincerely apologize to the public and fans for causing concern over the past few days due to my situation," and added, "The other party's claims are not true, and we are actively cooperating with investigative authorities to respond to this matter."

The conversation transcript is from around May 2021, when Heo Ung and A had conflicts regarding a second pregnancy. In the KakaoTalk messages, when A lamented, "There is nothing for me," Heo Ung replied, "That's why I said let's meet and talk." A said, "At least even if no one else can celebrate, have you thought about how I feel when you show that kind of reaction? Have you thought about what I think every minute and second of every day? How can you tell me to 'calm down' and 'don't do as you please'?"

She continued, "You're just doing this because of your image. That's why you tell me not to tell anyone. It's transparent," and pointed out, "The reason the conversation drags on and turns into fights is not because I pick fights or am inconsistent, but because I don't do as you want, and you keep getting annoyed."

When Heo Ung said, "Talk to your mom first. If your mind feels a bit better," A expressed frustration, replying, "I've done that thoroughly. I've done everything." Then Heo Ung showed avoidance of discussing A's pregnancy, saying, "I'm playing golf for now." Later, A sent an ultrasound photo of the baby with the name of the obstetrics and gynecology clinic, saying, "I went to the hospital. Confirmed the gestational sac, and next week I plan to go to hear the heartbeat." Heo Ung responded, "Why did you suddenly go to the hospital?" and suggested, "Let's get a diagnosis at a different hospital, not that one." It is known that Heo Ung eventually had A undergo an abortion at an obstetrics and gynecology clinic in Wonju where he was residing.

Earlier, on June 26, Heo Ung filed a complaint against A through his legal representative for attempted extortion, threats, and violations of the Stalking Punishment Act. Through his agency, Key Player Agency, he stated, "I sincerely apologize to the public and fans for causing concern over the past few days due to my personal matters," and added, "The other party's claims are not true, and I am actively cooperating with investigative authorities regarding this." He further said, "Rather than responding to each baseless claim, I intend to reveal the truth through the investigation results," and "I will not make any further statements and will organize my position and inform the public once the investigation results are out."
