Operated on the 13th and 14th, 76 Major Universities from Busan and Seoul Participate
University and Admission Type Information, Personalized 1:1 College Admission Counseling
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will operate the "2024 College Admission Counseling Camp" on the 13th and 14th at Exhibition Hall 1 of BEXCO in Haeundae-gu, targeting high school students, out-of-school youth, parents, teachers, and others who need information on college admissions.
This event is designed to provide college-specific and admission-type information to create effective conditions for college entrance preparation and to support customized counseling for the 2025 early admission process.
Under the slogan "Pop-up Store for My Successful College Admission," the camp will feature 76 universities, including those in the Busan area and major universities in Seoul, as well as two institutions: the Korea Student Aid Foundation and the Academic Development Institute. The camp will be organized into a College Information Zone, Face-to-Face Counseling Zone, and Thematic Seminar Zone to provide tailored counseling and practical information on college admissions.
The College Information Zone will have booths run by 76 universities, including 23 from Busan and 21 from Seoul, to promote their schools and share admission information.
In the Face-to-Face Counseling Zone, counselors from the Busan College Admission Support Group will provide one-on-one counseling sessions on the 2025 early admission process for third-year high school students, out-of-school youth, and parents, with 12 sessions (40 participants per session). Participants are encouraged to bring their school records, mock test or national academic assessment score reports, and College Admission Portal ID for more detailed counseling.
The Thematic Seminar Zone will offer sessions on topics such as medical and pharmaceutical fields, analysis of the 2025 early admission guidelines, the 2026 college admission plan briefing, and talk concerts. Admission experts, support officers, and professional counselors will serve as speakers to provide detailed information on college admissions. Notably, this year, two sessions will be held specifically on medical and pharmaceutical admissions due to the issue of increased medical school capacity.
Anyone wishing to participate in the camp can join on-site on the day of the event. However, advance reservations are required for the Face-to-Face Counseling Zone and Thematic Seminar Zone. Reservations for the Face-to-Face Counseling Zone can be made on the Busan Career and College Admission Support Center website from 3 p.m. on the 3rd to 1 p.m. on the 9th, and for the Thematic Seminar Zone from 10 a.m. on the 4th to noon on the 11th.
Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "This College Admission Counseling Camp has been prepared to comprehensively provide customized college admission information and counseling for students and parents," and added, "I hope students will gain practical help in developing their admission strategies and resolve their questions through counseling and seminars, which will greatly assist them in entering their desired universities."
