Daebo Construction, 648.7 Billion KRW in Orders in the First Half of This Year

Daebo Construction announced on the 2nd that it recorded orders worth 648.7 billion KRW in the first half of this year. Attention is focused on whether the company can achieve orders worth 1 trillion KRW again this year through aggressive public construction orders, following last year.

Since the beginning of this year, Daebo Construction has secured projects including ▲Chuncheon~Sokcho Railway Construction Section 3 Subgrade New Construction and Other Works (construction cost 224.1 billion KRW) ▲Seoul-Yangju Expressway Private Investment Project ▲Saewool Headquarters Employee Housing Construction ▲Gwangmyeong Hakon Public Housing District Site Development, among others.

The 'Chuncheon~Sokcho Railway Construction Project' is a project to build a line connecting a total length of 93.7 km from Chuncheon Station, the terminus of the Gyeongchun Line, passing through Hwacheon, Yanggu, Inje, Baekdam, to Sokcho. Scheduled for completion in 2029, Daebo Construction will construct approximately an 11 km section from Hwacheon to Yanggu. In addition, the company has secured educational facility projects such as the Andong Seobu Elementary, Hamchang Elementary, Geoncheon Elementary Green Smart School Lease-type Private Investment Project (BTL), and the Green Smart School Busan Naeseong Middle and Busan Girls' Middle Lease-type Private Investment Project (BTL).

A Daebo Construction official stated, "Despite the challenging construction environment, we are leveraging our strengths in the public sector to rank in the top 10 for public construction orders in the first half of this year," adding, "Due to the increase in order performance, we recently hired 10 new employees in the civil engineering department."

Meanwhile, due to the favorable public construction order trend, Daebo Construction is expected to smoothly achieve orders worth 1 trillion KRW again this year. Daebo Construction first surpassed 1 trillion KRW in orders in 2017 and achieved this milestone for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021. Last year, it also recorded orders worth 1 trillion KRW.
