DL Construction announced on the 2nd that it held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and a board meeting on the 1st, appointing Park Sang-shin as CEO (photo).
CEO Park graduated from Daeheung High School and Korea University with a degree in Business Administration, and joined Samho, the predecessor of DL Construction, in 1985. He later served as head of the Management Innovation Headquarters at Samho and was CEO at Korea Development, Daelim Industrial (now DL E&C), and Jinheung Enterprise.
DL Construction evaluated CEO Park as a housing business expert equipped with the capability to make swift decisions and implement response measures. He is said to possess extensive experience in housing projects including successful large-scale housing projects, know-how in management sectors, and a deep understanding of the DL Group's construction division.
Through this appointment, CEO Park will concurrently serve as CEO of DL Construction and head of the Housing Business Division at DL E&C. DL Construction expects to create organic synergy with the DL E&C Housing Business Division.
A DL Construction official stated, "After the smooth completion of the process to make DL E&C a 100% subsidiary, we appointed CEO Park Sang-shin to stabilize the organization and maximize synergy with the parent company," adding, "In the midst of a crisis across the construction industry, this new CEO appointment will be an opportunity to strengthen internal capabilities and create new growth potential."
