Park Deok-ho Appointed as Secretary General of the Korean Film Council

"Fully Committed to Strengthening Internal Cohesion of the Secretariat"

The Korean Film Council announced on the 1st that Mr. Park Deok-ho has been appointed as the new Secretary-General. The term is one year. According to related regulations, the term can be renewed annually.

Secretary-General Park joined the Korean Film Promotion Corporation (now the Korean Film Council) in 1993 and has served as head of the Overseas Promotion Department, director of the International Business Center, head of the Management Support Headquarters, director of the Management Strategy Office, and head of the Management Headquarters. Since February, he has also been acting as the Secretary-General, a position that had been vacant.


He stated, "I feel a heavy responsibility in the critical crisis of the depletion of the Film Development Fund," and added, "I will do my utmost to assist the chairman and the council in resolving various pending issues and tasks, and to strengthen internal unity within the Secretariat."
