Increase in Revenue from Audit and Tax Advisory, 10% Decrease in Management Consulting Revenue
Operating Profit Plummets from 12.2 Billion KRW to 2.2 Billion KRW
Number of Employees Rises to 4,319, Significant Growth in Audit Staff
Samjong Accounting Corporation achieved revenue growth last year.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 1st, Samjong Accounting Corporation's 2023 business year report showed operating revenue increased by 1.4% from 840.1 billion KRW the previous year to 852.5 billion KRW. The audit division generated 289.3 billion KRW, the tax advisory division 145.3 billion KRW, and the management consulting division 417.8 billion KRW in sales. Audit and tax advisory revenues increased by 18% and 12% respectively, while management consulting decreased by 10%.
Operating profit fell from 12.2 billion KRW the previous year to 2.2 billion KRW. Non-operating income tripled compared to the previous year to 13.7 billion KRW, influenced by 11.3 billion KRW in professional indemnity insurance claim income. Net profit slightly decreased from 9.6 billion KRW to 7.8 billion KRW.
The number of employees increased from 4,205 the previous year to 4,319. Audit personnel grew significantly from 1,908 to 2,091, and tax advisory staff also rose from 532 to 562. However, management consulting personnel decreased from 1,631 to 1,533.
The average compensation per person was 130.4 million KRW. By division, tax advisory was highest at 105.15 million KRW, followed by management consulting at 133.09 million KRW, and audit at 126.34 million KRW.
