Rain with Gusts and Thunderstorms Expected
Fine Dust Levels Expected to Remain 'Good'
On Tuesday the 2nd, due to the influence of a stationary front, cloudy skies and continuous monsoon rain are expected nationwide.
In most areas, heavy rain accompanied by gusts, thunder, and lightning is highly likely.
Rain will begin in the early morning in the Chungcheong, Jeonbuk, and Gyeongbuk regions and is expected to spread nationwide by the morning. In the evening, many areas, especially in the southern regions, are expected to experience a lull in the rain.
The expected rainfall from the 2nd to the 3rd is 30 to 80 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk. The southern parts of Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi may see rainfall exceeding 120 mm. The West Sea Five Islands region is expected to receive 20 to 60 mm, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo 10 to 40 mm of rain. Jeju Island is forecasted to receive 50 to 100 mm of rain, with very strong winds mainly along the coast and Jeju, and high waves expected in most maritime areas.
The morning low temperatures are expected to range from 20 to 24 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs from 22 to 31 degrees Celsius. Fine dust levels are expected to remain at 'Good' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the influence of precipitation.
Sea waves are expected to be 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea coastal waters. In the offshore waters, wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 5.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
