Mayor Hong Nampyo Vows to Fully Realize an Administration That Resonates with Citizens
On the 1st, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the 14th Changwon Citizens' Day Commemoration Ceremony and Celebration Concert at Changwon Indoor Gymnasium in Changwon Sports Park to mark Citizens' Day.
Under the theme 'Thank you 50 years, Together 50 years,' the ceremony was attended by around 4,000 people, including provincial and city council members, business representatives, heads of various organizations, and ordinary citizens. The event celebrated 14 years since the integration of Changwon City, reflected on the past 50 years, and fostered unity for the next 50 years of Changwon's future.
The event began with a fusion gayageum performance and increased audience engagement with a musical-style reading of the Citizens' Charter. It continued with a performance for citizen unity and the presentation of cultural awards. The celebration concert that followed featured performances by H1-KEY, Heize, Park Hyeshin, Ha Hyunwoo, and others, delivering a moving experience. Notably, the balloons released during the finale received an enthusiastic response from the audience, bringing the ceremony to a successful close.
In his commemorative address, Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nam-pyo stated, "Over the past two years, we have focused on establishing a major direction for Changwon's next 50 years and enhancing the city's capacity for innovation. During the remainder of my term, I will work to realize these plans and achieve tangible results, expanding citizen-centered projects to improve quality of life and create a city administration that truly resonates with our citizens."
