Shinan County Council, Chairman Lee Sang-ju Inaugurated... Start of Second Half Legislative Activities

"Resolving Residents' Issues Through Harmony and Unity, Not Control and Surveillance"

The Shinan County Council in Jeonnam announced on the 1st that it held the 321st extraordinary session and formed the chairmanship to lead the 9th council's second half.


The chairmanship elected that day drew much attention by pledging to accommodate the expectations and demands of the residents and to foster harmony and unity.

The election was conducted by secret ballot with all nine council members present, and Lee Sang-ju (Aphae, Jaeun, Amtae) was unanimously elected as chairman, while Kim Ki-man (Jido, Jeungdo, Imja) was elected as vice chairman.


Additionally, Kim Yong-bae (Park Yong-chan, Ahn Won-jun, Kim Hyuk-sung, Ko In-sook) was elected as the chair of the Council Operations Committee, Kwon Oh-yeon (Kim Ki-man, Ahn Won-jun, Kim Yong-bae) as the chair of the Administrative Welfare Committee, and Choi Chun-ok (Park Yong-chan, Kim Hyuk-sung, Ko In-sook) as the chair of the Industry and Construction Committee, completing the organization of the second half leadership.


Lee Sang-ju, appointed as the chairman of the 9th Shinan County Council's second half, expressed his ambition, saying, "I will listen carefully even to the small voices of the residents, identify what they need and desire, and work together with County Governor Park Woo-ryang and the executive branch to resolve issues through harmony and unity rather than through checks and supervision."


The 9th second half chairmanship will carry out council activities for two years until June 30, 2026.
