On the 1st, the Hampyeong County Council in Jeollanam-do held the 292nd extraordinary session and elected Lee Nam-o of the Democratic Party (District A) as the chairman for the second half of the 9th term. Councilor Jeong Cheol-hee (District A) was elected as the vice chairman.
Yoon Aeng-rang (District B) was elected as the chair of the Council Operations Committee, Kim Eun-young (Proportional Representation) as the chair of the General Administration Committee, and Park Moon-seo (District B) as the chair of the Economic Construction Committee.
The second half chairman and standing committee chairs will begin their terms on the 1st and lead the Hampyeong County Council for two years.
Newly appointed Chairman Lee Nam-o stated, "I deeply feel the role and responsibility of the local council in regional development and the happiness of the residents, and the council will meet the expectations of the residents. I will fulfill the given role through communication and cooperation with fellow councilors for the future of Hampyeong County."
The Hampyeong County Council plans to hold the 293rd extraordinary session for nine days from the 11th to the 19th, during which they will listen to major business promotion matters for this year and carry out full-scale legislative activities.
