"I am always a delivery app VIP"... "Meals and desserts are separate"
'Mukbang' YouTuber Tzuyang (real name Park Jeong-won, 28) shocked netizens by revealing the food she consumed over 24 hours in a daily vlog. The total calorie intake for the day nearly reached 30,000 kcal (kilocalories).
On the 30th of last month, a video capturing Tzuyang's 24-hour daily life was uploaded to her YouTube channel 'Tzuyang Vlog.' She woke up at 10 a.m. and opened a delivery application. She explained, "I usually start filming mukbang around 2 to 3 p.m., but today I have a shoot at 4, so I have a lot of free time. At times like this, I usually eat breakfast."
For breakfast that day, Tzuyang ordered a variety of foods including two hamburger sets, sushi, and galbijjim (braised short ribs). She said, "I had accumulated up to 500,000 points on the delivery platform," and added, "The amount I've spent ordering in the past year is equivalent to about three Damas vans." When the production team asked, "Do you check the delivery tip? I heard real rich people don't check it," Tzuyang replied, "I do check, but if it's really delicious, I let it slide. I'm always a VIP on the delivery app."
While waiting for the food delivery, Tzuyang first ate tteokbokki, popcorn, and drinks from her refrigerator, then quickly devoured the arriving food. Her mukbang continued during the 4 p.m. shoot, where she ate six bowls including tonkotsu ramen and mazesoba. On her way home, she kept snacking without pause. After arriving home, she said, "I'm feeling a bit greasy, so I don't crave noodles today," and prepared and ate instant beef seaweed soup.
But it didn't end there. After 9 p.m., she visited a gopchang (beef tripe) restaurant and ordered gopchang and daechang (large intestines), paying over 270,000 won for dinner. After dinner, she had juice, cake, and other desserts and drinks at a cafe, and only returned home after eating sujebi (hand-torn noodle soup) and jjukkumi (webfoot octopus) around 11 p.m.
After arriving home, Tzuyang said, "Rice and dessert are separate," opened the delivery app once more, and ordered desserts. Even past 2:30 a.m., she ordered additional grilled eel, tteokbokki, and two pizzas. The production team filming her expressed disgust, saying, "That's gross."
The total calorie intake of the food Tzuyang consumed that day reached an astonishing 29,490 kcal. She said, "Usually, I can't eat this much because of my schedule," and added, "Since it was a vlog shoot, I postponed all my plans and ate like it was a complete day off. Sometimes my appetite just explodes like this."
Netizens' reactions to the video were mixed. Some expressed amazement with comments like, "I envy a life without worries about money, weight, or digestion," "She really eats a lot even normally," "It's truly an extraordinary level," and "I'm jealous that she maintains her body and condition despite eating that much." On the other hand, some expressed concern, saying, "Please eat moderately for your health."
Meanwhile, Tzuyang recently ranked first as the most favorite YouTuber among Koreans. According to a survey conducted by Korea Gallup from March 22 to April 5 targeting 1,777 people aged 13 and older nationwide except Jeju, Tzuyang received 5.2% support, securing first place. Her YouTube channel currently has 10.1 million subscribers.
