Technical Strategies for Addressing Major Issues Among Teenagers
Analysis of 'Upupu' 40th Anniversary Achievements and Significance
Yuhan-Kimberly announced on the 1st that it has published this year’s sustainability report titled “People Are Hope.”
Yuhan-Kimberly has advanced its double materiality assessment system to more accurately grasp stakeholder expectations. Through a survey, the company collected opinions from a total of 7,995 stakeholders, including consumers. It is notable that material issues were derived through detailed evaluations by experts in each ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) area.
This year’s material issues include “Product Safety and Quality,” “Customer Relations and Trust & Transparency,” “Resource Circulation and Waste,” “Greenhouse Gases,” and “Talent Acquisition and Development.” For the top 10 material issues, the report provides detailed descriptions of the types and levels of social, environmental, and financial impacts, response strategies, and performance outcomes.
Additionally, the report discloses activities and progress for detailed initiatives aimed at achieving the 2030 sustainability goals, which include planting and nurturing 60 million trees by 2030, achieving 95% of sales from sustainable products, and contributing to the improvement of the quality of life for 56 million people.
Along with this, the report includes a special feature analyzing the achievements and significance of the “Our Rivers and Mountains, Green and Greener” campaign, which has become a heritage of the company’s social contribution, on its 40th anniversary from various perspectives. Reflecting the growing importance of managing greenwashing risks following the disclosure of environmental information, the company conducted a review by legal experts on internal labeling and advertising guidelines and management systems, as well as related items in last year’s report, and addressed improvements through a focused inspection page.
Jin Jae-seung, CEO of Yuhan-Kimberly, stated in the report, “We will strengthen differentiated competitiveness based on our core business and sustainability management capabilities, and continue sustainable development and innovation for the company, society, and the global environment through an active and inclusive corporate culture and collaborative governance with stakeholders.”
Yuhan-Kimberly has been publishing sustainability reports since 2006.
