Distance 20.7 km... Expected to take 7 hours
Starting stamp features Anseong tourist spot 'Pamland'
The Gyeonggi Dullegil ‘Anseong Course 43’ is a section that goes from Seoun-myeon Office to Sanggoji Village Hall, passing through the terminus of Samnam-gil, and ending at Gunmongyo Samgeori. It is a path that follows the waterways nourishing the Anseong fields. The distance is 20.7 km, and the estimated time required is about 7 hours. The difficulty level is ‘medium’.
Start by stamping the start point at Seoun-myeon Office and then begin your walk. Here, ‘Anseong Farmland’ is depicted. Anseong Farmland is a representative tourist attraction of Anseong, where in spring you can see canola flowers, in summer sunflowers and lavender, and in autumn cosmos and pink muhly grass. It is a place where you can feel the beauty of the seasons in a vast flower field.
After walking around the alleys of Seoun-myeon and passing through an underpass, you will come across a grape farm. Anseong, the first place in Korea to cultivate grapes, holds an annual grape festival to promote its excellence.
Following the wide fields to Gangdeok-ri, you can see a village information board. Crossing Gangdeokgyo Bridge and heading to Gangsingyo Bridge, you will find the confluence of Yangbyeoncheon and Cheongryongcheon streams below. You need to walk along the embankment of Cheongryongcheon for a while. Cheongryongcheon originates from Seoun Mountain, waters the fields evenly, and then joins Anseongcheon.
Anseongcheon flows through Anseong city, passes Pyeongtaek, and enters Asan Bay. It is 76 km long and is recorded as Daechon (大川) in the Daedongyeojido map. Before the construction of the Asan Barrage, it is said that seawater used to flow up to Gongdo-eup. The Anseong Plain created by Anseongcheon is famous as a major rice-producing area in Gyeonggi Province, along with the Gimpo Plain.
After crossing Anseongcheon, the path slightly turns toward Anseong Farm. The hill at Anseong Farm is known among photography enthusiasts as a sacred place for sunrise photos. Standing again on the embankment of Anseongcheon, you will cross over to Pyeongtaek.
The arrival stamp at Gunmongyo Samgeori features Baudeogi. Baudeogi, who lived in the Buldanggol area of Anseong, was the only female leader of the Namsadang troupe in history. She was entrusted to the Namsadang troupe at the age of five and learned skills, becoming the leader at fifteen. She was also the person who developed the Anseong Namsadang troupe into the most popular troupe.
