Changwon Facilities Corporation Selected as Pilot Institution for Public Procurement Service's 'Innovative Product Trial Use' Program

Installation of 'AI Crowd Density Counting and Warning System'

Changwon Facilities Corporation in Gyeongnam has been selected as an institution for the ‘2024 2nd Innovative Product Pilot Use’ project, a public contest by the Public Procurement Service.

The ‘Innovative Product Pilot Use Project’ is a program in which the Public Procurement Service purchases innovative prototypes from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), allowing public institutions to pilot and test them, and supports commercialization and market entry based on the test results.

As a result of being selected as a pilot institution, the corporation will receive a budget of 33 million KRW from the Public Procurement Service and plans to install a ‘crowd counting and alert system using artificial intelligence’?a product from a venture SME?at multi-use facilities.

This system is an AI-based smart system that collects and analyzes information on crowd density on-site via CCTV, provides real-time updates, and issues voice alerts according to the level of risk.

Chairman Kim Jonghae said, “With the establishment of a smart surveillance system following our selection as a pilot institution, we expect to further strengthen customer safety by preventing crowd accidents in advance.”
