Gyeongnam Provincial Council Wins Excellence Award in Metropolitan Council Category at Korea Local Administration and Assembly Expo

The Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council was honored to receive the ‘Excellence Award’ in the Metropolitan Council category at the ‘6th Korea Local Administration and Local Council Expo 2024’.

The ‘Korea Local Administration and Local Council Expo’ is an event designed to expand opportunities for mutual development and exchange between local councils and autonomous bodies, to spread consensus, and to share external policy promotion. This year marks its sixth edition.

At this event, more than 40 local governments from across the country and over 110 related organizations and institutions set up promotional booths at the 2nd Exhibition Hall of the Daejeon Convention Center, the venue of the event, creating a space for exchange.

In particular, at the ‘2024 Korea Local Administration and Local Council Expo Awards Ceremony’ held on June 29, awards were presented in the fields of local councils and local administration.

At this event, the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council was honored to receive the ‘Excellence Award’ in recognition of its efforts focused on local livelihood and current issues, as well as its outstanding achievements in promoting legislative activities.

Kim Younghee, Public Relations Officer, who attended the awards ceremony, said, “There are not many nationwide events where local governments can gather together for communication and cooperation, so this event was very meaningful as we could share the excellent achievements of other local governments,” and added, “I understand this award as an encouragement to realize true resident autonomy and complete local decentralization through cooperation and mutual growth between local councils and local administration, and I will continue to do my utmost in the future.”
