With the People Power Party's July 23 leadership election approaching and competition among candidates intensifying, In Yo-han, a member of the People Power Party and running mate of former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong, claimed, "It won't be Eodaehan (Han Dong-hoon will not become party leader anyway), but there is a 90% chance that former Minister Won will become the party leader." On the 1st, on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' he said, "I visited Gyeongnam, and the public opinion polls and the atmosphere are different from (former Chairman Han leading in the polls). It's still at a stage where it hasn't even started. There is a 90% chance that the polls will be overturned."

Regarding former Minister Won, he said, "He has a lot of experience and knowledge. He is moral," and added, "I am moved while traveling together as his running mate." He also said, "When campaigning in Gyeongnam, I told people that they don't have to vote for me, but please make sure candidate Won gets elected." He continued, "I feel sorry for former Chairman Han, but in terms of coordinating and compromising on issues, former Minister Won is far ahead," adding, "Candidate Won is a good person, knowledgeable, and also follows the right path."

Regarding his candidacy for the Supreme Council member in the July 23 leadership election, he emphasized innovation and integrity. In said, "A president serves for five years, and it is not right to confront the president," adding, "We could shut the door and fight, but there are things to take outside and issues to resolve internally." About President Yoon Suk-yeol, In said, "He is straightforward, saying yes when it is yes and no when it is no, but I hope he would be a bit more flexible in politics."

Meanwhile, In drew a line on the special prosecutor law for Chae Sang-byung, proposed by former Emergency Committee Chairman Han, saying, "I cannot agree."
