Hamyang Sansam Festival Venue Visited by Geumsan County Residents Communication Committee Members

Exploring Festival and Regional Development Strategies through Geumsan Ginseng and Hamyang Sansam

Hamyang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 1st that 25 people, including officials from Geumsan County and members of the County Residents Communication Committee, visited the Hamyang Sansam Festival venue to discuss ways to revitalize the local economy and the future direction of the festival.

On this day, Geumsan County officials and members of the County Residents Communication Committee listened to a briefing on the Hamyang Sansam Festival by Lee Hyunjae, Chair of the Sansam Festival Committee, followed by a Q&A session. They then toured the festival site and the wild ginseng industrial complex, engaging in in-depth discussions on ways to connect the festival with expo facilities.

In addition, accompanied by a cultural tourism commentator, they visited major tourist attractions in Hamyang County, such as Namgye Seowon, to explore ways to utilize local tourism resources.

Kim Boksoo, Director of the Sansam Anti-Aging Department, said, "We sincerely welcome the visit of the Geumsan County Residents Communication Committee. We hope that this field trip, using the region's representative specialties?Geumsan ginseng and Hamyang sansam?as a medium for communication, will serve as a foundation for mutual development between the two regions."

Lee Hyunjae, Chair of the Sansam Festival Committee, said, "As the birthplace of ginseng, I wish for the successful hosting of the Geumsan World Ginseng Festival, which is leading the global ginseng market and the advancement of the ginseng industry."

Meanwhile, the 19th Hamyang Sansam Festival is scheduled to be held for seven days from October 3 to 9 at Sangnim Park and surrounding areas.
