The Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association (hereinafter referred to as the MainBiz Association) announced on the 1st that it has been selected as the planning organization for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' "2024 Digital Collaborative Factory Construction Support Project."
The "Digital Collaborative Factory Construction Support Project," hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group, is a consortium-type smart factory construction support project based on multi-party data centered on leading companies for the common purpose of enhancing productivity. The planning organization, implementing companies, and supplying companies form a single consortium to carry out the project.
For the 2024 Digital Collaborative Factory Construction Support Project, a total of six consortia were finally selected, among which the MainBiz Association is participating as the planning organization for two consortia in the textile and wood sectors.
Approximately 3 billion KRW, including government subsidies, will be invested in the two consortia in the wood and textile sectors. This manufacturing innovation project aims not only to build smart factories for individual companies but also to establish a collaborative smart manufacturing system among consortium companies.
The MainBiz Association has been carrying out various government policy projects to support the digital transformation of small and medium enterprises, including the SME Smart Service Support Project and the Supply Chain-Linked Smart Factory Construction Support Project.
Kim Myung-jin, president of the MainBiz Association, stated, "We will take the lead in promoting the digital transformation of manufacturing SMEs and securing global competitiveness through the construction of digital collaborative factories."
