Innocean Launches 'The Monte Gangnam,' the Largest Media Wall on Gangnam-daero

Total Area 337.5㎡... Pixel Pitch 8mm
"Used as an Urban Digital Art Canvas"

Innocean, an advertising subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, announced on the 1st that it has newly launched the LED media wall 'The Monte Gangnam' on Gangnam-daero, Seoul.

The Monte Gangnam is an outdoor media property operated independently by Innocean. It is a renewal of the existing billboard installed on the Montessori Building at the Gangnam Station intersection. With a total area of 337.5㎡, it boasts the largest size among billboards near Gangnam-daero. The image quality is superior with a pixel pitch of 8mm compared to surrounding billboards (10mm). Innocean stated, "Being located in Gangnam, the largest outdoor media spot in Korea, and having the largest size and highest quality media wall, the attention to the content broadcasted is expected to increase significantly."

Through The Monte Gangnam, Innocean plans to provide various types of content incorporating not only commercial content but also media art. In particular, the media wall, designed with a curved design, can showcase anamorphic content (a method that provides a three-dimensional effect through optical illusion), making it highly versatile. Through this, the company aims to elevate Gangnam's urban culture one step further as a 'digital art canvas,' beyond traditional outdoor media billboards.

Previously, Innocean presented its first work in collaboration with the global media art company 'DISTRIKT' through The Monte Gangnam, titled 'WAVE GARDEN.' It was evaluated as providing a refreshing feeling to citizens tired of the summer heat by expressing the appearance of nature in the city through media art. Innocean plans to offer 3D office worker empathy content inspired by the subway, as well as 'urban healing' content featuring character animals in the future.

Recently, the outdoor advertising market has seen many operators entering due to trends of ultra-large media, media art, and the development of 3D immersive content. Innocean has been operating and selling premium advertising media in major commercial districts in Seoul ahead of this trend. Kim Jae-pil, Executive Director of Innocean, said, "In April, we secured the operation rights for the ultra-large media wall advertising media at IFC Mall, securing key outdoor media spots in Seoul’s commercial districts stretching from Gangnam to Seocho and Yeouido," adding, "We plan to actively promote premium spots and ultra-large digital outdoor advertising businesses as new growth engines in the future."
