Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) is forming a Rapid Employment Support TF to revitalize local employment and resolve vacant job positions in industries facing recruitment difficulties.
On June 19, the district signed a business agreement at the Seoul Gwanak Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor with ▲ Seoul Gwanak Branch ▲ Guro-gu ▲ Geumcheon-gu ▲ Dongjak-gu to establish a regional job cooperation system and jointly respond to local employment revitalization and vacant job resolution.
First, the district plans to connect job seekers and employers focusing on six industries centered at the Gwanak-gu Job Center (open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, located at Basement 1, 145 Gwanak-ro): ▲ health and welfare services ▲ wholesale and retail ▲ transportation and warehousing ▲ food manufacturing ▲ business facilities ▲ accommodation and food services.
Additionally, the district will provide one-stop recruitment support services such as arranging on-site interviews, company introductions, and job descriptions with HR managers of companies to connect job seekers and employers, focusing on the key supported industries.
Furthermore, to assist job seekers facing difficulties in finding employment, the district plans to continuously operate ‘Visiting Employment Counseling Rooms’ at Sillim Station (every Wednesday, 2 PM to 5 PM) and Bongcheon Station (every Thursday, 2 PM to 5 PM), where there is high foot traffic.
In particular, to activate employment linkage to private sector jobs through skill enhancement, the district operates a vocational training academy for Gwanak-gu residents, providing high-quality education free of charge.
The training courses include ▲ caregiver training, which is in high demand in the aging era ▲ new training for general security guards ▲ training for SNS-centered online marketing experts, whose demand has been continuously increasing recently.
This year, the district plans to recruit 40 caregivers, 100 general security guards, and 20 online marketing experts.
The district will connect and manage employment for one year only for those who complete the training, and plans to link with the Seoul Western Middle-aged Tomorrow Center’s life career design program.
