It also supports humanware such as branding and content discovery, merchant organization, and small business training, fostering a 'commercial district where people want to stay,' which is a key project of Seoul City.
This briefing session, jointly hosted by the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation and Gwanak-gu, was organized to increase interest and understanding of the Sharosugil Commercial District Local Brand Project by informing local residents and merchants about the current status of the commercial district and future project plans ahead of full-scale project implementation. The district also listened to various opinions from attendees regarding commercial district development measures during the Q&A session.
In the first year of the Sharosugil Commercial District Local Brand Development Project, Gwanak-gu and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation will collaborate to create a local ecosystem and discover local brands.

Additionally, landlords, merchants, and Gwanak-gu will sign a Sharosugil community coexistence agreement to establish a foundation for the sustainable development of Sharosugil.
Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “The Sharosugil Commercial District Local Brand Development Project is expected to be an opportunity for our local economy to take a leap forward,” and added, “We will devote all our efforts to ensure the sustainable growth of the Sharosugil Commercial District and to spread the ripple effect to neighboring commercial districts, revitalizing the local economy.”
