Hwaseong Industries is making a fresh start under its new name, "HS Hwaseong." The name Hwaseong Industries and its pigeon logo, which have been used for 66 years since the company's founding in 1958, will now become a part of history. The company will hold a proclamation ceremony on the 1st of next month to announce its new name, HS Hwaseong, reorganize its corporate value system, and present its future direction and vision.
The newly unveiled name, "HS Hwaseong," directly inherits the heritage of the former Hwaseong Industries, while the English notation reflects the company's global aspirations and its new, transformative image. "HS" stands for both the English initials of Hwaseong and "Human Sustainability," conveying a dual meaning.
The bold "HS" design, inspired by the form of thick rebar, visually emphasizes the company's identity as a construction developer. It powerfully and clearly conveys the company's scale and reliability as it seeks to expand into diverse business areas. In particular, the "H" is used like a flexible bracket, allowing the company to dynamically encompass a wide range of content, missions, and business areas it pursues.
In addition, the company's long-standing visual asset, the red color, has been named "HeritageRed" and will be carried on. Along with "InnovationNavy," which signifies future innovation, these colors deliver a more sophisticated and weighty impression of the company.
Meanwhile, at the proclamation ceremony, HS Hwaseong is expected to announce its new mission, "Make Solutions: For Human Sustainability." The company also plans to present its vision as a "Global Value Creator" that continuously generates new value for society and its customers, based on the three shared core values of creativity, innovation, and harmony.
Since its establishment in 1958, Hwaseong Industries has contributed to the local community and society, serving as a strong pillar of the regional economy under its corporate philosophy of "creating a pleasant environment and building livable cities."
This name change comes about two years after Chairman Lee Jongwon took office. It reflects his emphasis on change and innovation and is based on the recognition of how Hwaseong Industries should evolve in a rapidly changing era. As the company diversifies its business based on construction, the need for a new identity that can encompass various business areas has emerged.
Notably, it is reported that Chairman Lee Jongwon personally oversaw the entire name change project. Employees actively participated, collecting and refining numerous data and ideas through a lengthy process, ultimately building a forward-looking and globally oriented image.
The name change project was led by the technology development team, which is responsible for design and quality development within the company, and took about a year and a half. It is being praised for effectively expressing Chairman Lee's vision for the company's future.
The technology development team, which successfully carried out this project, has won a total of 23 Good Design Awards since 2008. In March of this year, the team made its first entries in the prestigious "iF Design Award 2024" with the "Dream Kids Station" and "Concert Style Playground" projects, winning three main awards?the most among domestic construction companies. The team is expected to play a decisive role in enhancing HS Hwaseong's future design competitiveness and the value of its unique products.
Lee Jongwon, CEO and Chairman of HS Hwaseong, stated, "Through our new company name, we will inherit our history and brilliant achievements, and create an opportunity to pioneer new horizons beyond the traditional framework of construction. We will also boldly enter new markets such as overseas and environmental businesses to discover new growth engines and devote all our efforts to preparing for the next 100 years."
