Changwon Special City Hosts Changwon Love, Country Love Urban Forest Trail Walking Event

Over 700 Participants Recharge Their Health at Changwon Arboretum

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the 14th Changwon Love, Patriotism, and Urban Forest Trail Walking Festival at the Changwon Memorial Tower and Changwon Arboretum area.

The event, held on the 29th, was organized to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the integration of Changwon City and to promote citizens' health and unity. Around 700 participants, including families, friends, and club members, took part in the festival.

The course started at the Changwon Memorial Tower, circled the Changwon Arboretum, passed through the Daesang Park walking trail, and returned to the Memorial Tower, covering a distance of about 2.5 km.

Additionally, various side events such as exhibitions on Changwon tourism, hands-on crafting experiences, traditional games, health promotion booths, and prize draws were held at the venue, adding more fun to the festival.

Participants gathered at the Changwon Memorial Tower, observed a moment of silence for the patriotic spirits, and then flew hopeful paper airplanes, wishing for unity and well-being in Changwon. They enjoyed a healing time walking through the Changwon Arboretum, a relaxing urban space, while appreciating the colorful and beautiful flowers and nature.

The Forest Trail Walking Festival Organizing Committee, which hosted the event, placed safety personnel along each section of the course, prepared ambulances, and conducted pre-event safety checks to prevent any accidents and ensure participants' safety.

We will continue to do our best to expand sports infrastructure and promote citizens' health."
