Fire at Suncheon Sauna Extinguished in About 30 Minutes... No Casualties Reported

Investigating the Cause of the Fire

A fire broke out in an underground sauna in Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do.

According to the fire authorities on the 29th, the fire occurred around 1:08 PM at an underground sauna in Yeonhyang-dong, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do. The authorities deployed 14 fire trucks and over 40 firefighters to extinguish the fire, bringing the flames under control in about 30 minutes.

There were no casualties as no one was inside the sauna at the time of the fire. The fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire, which is believed to have started during demolition work in the basement.
