The "Bongnim Journalists Association," composed of alumni journalists from Changwon National University, was officially launched on the evening of the 27th at Insong Hall on the second floor of the university headquarters.
The Bongnim Journalists Association consists of more than 30 members who are journalists from 16 media outlets in Gyeongnam Province and across the country, all of whom are alumni of Changwon National University.
During the launch ceremony and the Glocal University Media Conference held that day, the election of the president and the approval of the association's bylaws took place.
In the future, the association plans to organize its executive team, hold regular general meetings, establish the Bongnim Journalists Award, and work towards sustainable co-growth between the media, the university, and the local community.

More than 20 members attended the event, including Park Youngsoo, the inaugural president and a 1990 alumnus of the Department of Korean Language and Literature who currently serves as the Gyeongnam Bureau Chief of Munhwa Ilbo.
Song Hyunjun, president of the Gyeongnam-Ulsan Journalists Association; Park Minwon, president of Changwon National University, along with university executives; Kim Jaehung, president of the Alumni Association; and Moon Ilwoo, executive vice president of the Alumni Association, were also present.
The Hanma Journalists Association of Gyeongnam National University and the Pioneer Journalists Association of Gyeongsang National University sent their congratulations.
In his congratulatory remarks and a presentation on the topic of "Glocal University," President Park stated, "I expect the Bongnim Journalists Association to serve as a focal point that strengthens communication and unity among alumni journalists working in the media." He added, "I hope it will become a solid pillar contributing to the future development of our university, the local community, and the nation."
President Park Youngsoo expressed his gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank the alumni journalists, university family, 90,000 alumni, and everyone in the local community who supported and shared the vision for the launch of the Bongnim Journalists Association." He continued, "We will foster friendship among alumni journalists and build an association that contributes to the development of our alma mater and the local community."
