Shinsegae Hires Jason Hwang, Former JP Morgan, as Head of Management Strategy Office

Expert with Over 20 Years of Experience in Capital Markets

Shinsegae Group announced on the 28th that it has recruited IB expert Jason Hwang as the Executive Vice President of the Management Strategy Office.

The Executive Vice President position held by Jason Hwang was vacant after the previous vice president, Byung-Hoon Heo, was appointed as CEO of Shinsegae Construction. This role oversees the group's financial management.

The newly appointed Executive Vice President Jason Hwang, born in 1970, graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and worked for over 10 years at JP Morgan, including as Head of the Asia Market Division.

With more than 20 years of experience in capital markets, he is an expert with extensive corporate finance experience in areas such as corporate value management and governance management.

Shinsegae stated, "Executive Vice President Jason Hwang will oversee Shinsegae Group’s financial management and focus on strengthening the group’s profitability, which has been emphasized since the reorganization of the Strategy Office last year."
