Changnyeong-gun to Implement Public Work Program in the Second Half of 2024

126 Jobs Created for Vulnerable Groups to Boost the Livelihood Economy

Changnyeong County, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 28th that it will implement the second half of the year public work program starting from July 1, aiming to stabilize the lives of the employment-vulnerable groups and strengthen their job capabilities.


This time, 126 individuals have been selected to work at 96 sites, including the Upo Wetland trail, senior welfare center, and museum, where they will be engaged in facility maintenance and administrative support tasks.

The county plans to provide safety training and summer heat prevention education for workers, and will distribute cool kits to outdoor workers who are vulnerable to heat waves, taking various measures to ensure the safety and health of the workers.


Meanwhile, from July 10 to 19, additional recruitment will be conducted for sites with vacancies. Residents who wish to apply should prepare their ID card and required documents and submit them to the township or town office corresponding to their address.


County Governor Sung Nakin said, "Through the public work program, we will actively support the economic independence of the employment-vulnerable groups, and ensure thorough safety management of participants until the end of the program."
