Uisikju Company, which operates the non-face-to-face mobile laundry service Laundrigo, announced on the 28th that it has developed a laundry recipe that can solve the problem of musty odors in laundry during the summer season.

During the humid rainy season, bacteria easily proliferate, causing unpleasant odors in laundry. The cause of the musty smell is Moraxella bacteria, and controlling bacterial growth is essential to eliminate the odor. Laundrigo, through its own research and development (R&D) organization, Laundry Innovation Lab, has developed a laundry recipe that can remove 99.9% of various bacteria, including Moraxella. Laundrigo plans to apply this to everyday laundry and bedding washing services to effectively reduce odors and manage laundry more hygienically.

Laundrigo’s everyday laundry service folds and sends laundry after washing and drying, saving time and space for customers who have difficulties with washing and drying. Demand has rapidly increased, especially among single-person households and dual-income families, with the number of users growing by 210% over the past three years. In particular, during the humid rainy season, demand for everyday laundry washing increased by 12% compared to the previous month.
