The congress, themed "Forests and Society Towards 2050," was held over seven days. Approximately 4,100 forestry experts from around the world participated in the congress.

The Forest Welfare Institute gave a presentation titled "Korea's Forest Healing as a National Policy" at the congress.

Hwang Seong-tae, Vice President of the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, said, "Korea is a successful country in forest restoration, having miraculously rehabilitated devastated forests. Currently, we have introduced the concept of 'forest welfare services' through the restored forests, leading global forest policies. The Forest Welfare Institute will continue to participate in international events such as this congress to widely promote the excellence of Korean-style forest welfare policies worldwide and further elevate our country's status."
