'Seoripul Festival' to be Held at the End of September... Organizing Committee Meeting

'Seoripul Festival' to be Held at the End of September... Organizing Committee Meeting Seocho-gu held a promotion committee meeting on the 27th for the successful hosting of the 'Seoripul Festival.' Provided by Seocho-gu.

Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 28th that it held a promotion committee meeting on the 27th in the large conference room on the 5th floor of the district office to ensure the successful hosting of the ‘Seoripul Festival,’ Seocho-gu’s representative festival, scheduled for September 28-29 this year.


The promotion committee included 26 heads of institutions from various fields such as public institutions like Seocho and Bangbae Police Stations, the arts sector including the Seoul Arts Center and the National Gugak Center, as well as business, medical, youth, and religious sectors, who proposed diverse ideas for the successful hosting of the festival. The meeting focused on detailed programs and operational plans, cooperation with the local community, safety management measures, and promotional strategies.


The festival will be led by General Director Song Seung-eun. Director Song is a veteran who has directed the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, the 2019 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics commemorative fashion show and concert, and served as the general director of the 2019 Jongno Hanbok Festival, as well as having experience successfully hosting the 2023 Seoripul Festival.


The 2024 Seoripul Festival will be held under the theme ‘Seocho is the music! ,’ featuring various genre performances and participatory programs that showcase all aspects of Seocho as a cultural and artistic city.


Mayor Jeon Seong-su said, “Starting with the holding of the Seoripul Festival Promotion Committee, we will make every effort to prepare thoroughly for the festival, work together with the local community, and spare no effort to make it a festival that everyone can enjoy, safe and successful.”
