On the 28th, LG Electronics announced that it held a donation ceremony for the "Seoul Relay Donation Challenge Run" campaign at Yeouido Hangang Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The company signed a social contribution business agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Sports Council to promote sports activities for people with disabilities. Attendees included Yoon Dae-sik, Executive Vice President of External Cooperation at LG Electronics, Kim Young-hwan, Director of the Seoul Tourism and Sports Bureau, and Jung Kyu-hyuk, Secretary General of the Seoul Sports Council.

Since February, LG Electronics has been conducting the campaign with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Sports Council. The campaign involves a running challenge held in Yeouido, Seoul, where 100 KRW is donated for every 1 km accumulated to support sports activities for people with disabilities and those vulnerable in sports. Approximately 12,000 citizens participated over about four months. The accumulated distance surpassed 300,000 km, raising 30 million KRW in donations.

The donation will be used to operate the "Frame Runner Marathon Challenge," a sports support activity for people with disabilities, according to the business agreement signed that day. Until October, LG Electronics will collaborate with the social enterprise for rehabilitation sports for people with disabilities, "Joeun Undongjang," to form teams of people with brain lesions and non-disabled individuals to train in frame running and challenge completing a marathon of less than 10 km in November. Frame running is a bicycle sport using a pedal-less frame. It was officially adopted as an event at last year's World Para Athletics Championships.

LG Electronics has identified "Diversity and Inclusion" as one of its six key ESG strategic tasks and is conducting activities to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and encourage their social participation. In April, the company signed a business agreement with the National Rehabilitation Center to develop technologies that help all customers, regardless of gender, age, or disability, easily use home appliances. In March, LG Electronics launched the "LG Comfort Kit" in cooperation with an advisory group for people with disabilities.

Yoon Dae-sik, Executive Vice President of External Cooperation at LG Electronics, said, "We will continue to do our best to help everyone, regardless of disability, lead a better life."
