Park Jae-hong, Chairman of Yeongmu Construction, Elected as Chairman of the Red Cross Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch

Park Jae-hong, chairman of Youngmoo Construction Co., Ltd., has been elected as the 32nd chairman of the Gwangju Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross.

Newly appointed chairman Park Jae-hong will begin his duties on the 15th after approval from Kim Cheol-su, chairman of the Korean Red Cross. His term is three years.

Born in Yeonggwang, Jeonnam, Chairman Park founded Youngmoo Construction in 1994 and developed it into a large housing construction company distributing a premium apartment brand called Youngmoo Yedam nationwide.

Following his mother's teaching to care for and give to those in need, he has been actively engaged in social contribution activities in the local community, including joining the Red Cross Honors Club (RCHC).

He previously served as the 12th president of the Korea Housing Builders Association Central Committee (2019?2022) and vice chairman of the Korean Red Cross Gwangju Jeonnam branch (2021?2024). He has received numerous awards, including the Silver Tower Industrial Medal (2011), Presidential Citation at the National Volunteer Conference (2017), Presidential Citation for Renovation of Veterans’ Old Houses (2021), and Honorary Grand Master of the Red Cross Member Meritorious Service Award (2021).

Meanwhile, the farewell ceremony for the 31st chairman Heo Jeong and the inauguration ceremony for the 32nd chairman Park Jae-hong will be held on July 23 at 2:30 p.m. at the Henri Dunant Hall of the Gwangju Jeonnam Red Cross, located in Maegok-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
