Changwon Special City Holds 2024 First Half Retirement Ceremony

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the 2024 first half retirement ceremony at the Citizen Hall of Changwon City Hall on the 27th.


The retirement ceremony was organized to celebrate the honorable retirement of public officials who have devoted themselves for a long time to the development of Changwon Special City and the happiness of its citizens, and to express gratitude to the families who have quietly supported them.

The event was attended by about 100 people, including public officials set to retire on the 30th, their families, and staff. The ceremony included the presentation of plaques of appreciation, appointment letters for special promotions, and a conversation between Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nam-pyo and the retirees.


The event was made more meaningful by screening a video that looked back on the achievements of the retiring senior officials who served with great passion, as well as messages from junior officials wishing them well on their new journey.


The retirees said, "We would like to express our gratitude to our colleagues who have been with us during our public service and to our families who have quietly stood by our side," adding, "We will cherish the bonds we have formed and, as citizens, sincerely support the continued development of Changwon's administration."


Mayor Hong said, "I would like to express my gratitude for your passionate dedication to the development of Changwon so far, and I sincerely support this new beginning, which is not an end," adding, "Even after leaving public service, I ask for your continued interest in the progress of our city administration."
