Shinsegae Department Store is introducing rising domestic streetwear brands.


The plan is to attract trend-sensitive customers in their teens, twenties, and thirties by opening pop-up stores for brands gaining attention among 'hipsters' who pursue their own individuality.


Shinsegae Centum City will hold a week-long pop-up store for 'San San Gear' and 'COYSEIO' at the 'Hyper Stage' on the second basement level from June 28 to July 4. New items for this season will be available at discounts of 10 to 30%, and popular items from previous seasons will be offered at up to 50% off.


'San San Gear' is a global fashion brand launched by a Korean designer in 2019, now available in over 60 select shops across 12 countries.

Whenever a new season collection is released, the brand's official website is flooded with visitors and products sell out instantly, demonstrating its immense popularity. Signature items include the Forest T-shirt (52,000 KRW) and Air Dash Jacket (159,000 KRW). At this pop-up, T-shirts, pants, jackets, and hats will be offered at up to 30% off.


'COYSEIO' is especially popular among women in their teens and twenties for its Y2K fashion styles, featuring delicate shirring and cute character prints. At this pop-up, signature items such as the Legna Character T-shirt (52,000 KRW) and Square Neck Dress (189,000 KRW) will be available, along with two exclusive tube tops. In addition, skirts, bags, and beanies from previous seasons will be discounted up to 50%, and new items for this season will be offered at 10-20% off. Customers who spend over 200,000 KRW will receive a complimentary eco-bag as part of a special promotion.

The Hyper Stage, where this pop-up will be held, is a dedicated pop-up space within the young fashion hall 'Hyper Ground,' which opened in February last year. Even within Hyper Ground, which attracts many trend-sensitive customers in their teens to thirties, the sales of Hyper Stage pop-ups have soared, increasing by 134% year-on-year as of June this year (January 1 to June 23).


This success is thanks to a series of pop-ups featuring not only popular fashion brands like the American outdoor brand 'Penfield' and knitwear specialist 'Basica,' but also IP-based pop-ups such as 'SKZOO,' which features K-pop group Stray Kids as animal characters, and 'Play Line Friends with NewJeans,' themed after NewJeans' new album 'How Sweet.'
