The county office expansion project, which cost 8.4 billion KRW in county funds, is the first expansion in 30 years since the construction of the main building in 1993. The new building has a total floor area of 1,735 square meters and consists of five above-ground floors.

In March 2021, plans were established for office space reorganization and expansion. After securing the project site in September of the same year through a property exchange between the province and county, construction began in December 2022 and was completed in May 2024.

The first floor features a piloti structure to provide parking space. The second floor houses the Urban Architecture Division, the third floor the Construction and Transportation Division, the fourth floor the Forestry Division, and the fifth floor the Environment and Population Education Divisions. On May 21, all five departments completed their relocation.

Additionally, starting in early June, the county has been carrying out a reorganization project to secure convenience facilities and office space for residents in the vacant areas of the old offices, with completion scheduled for September this year. This is expected to further enhance convenience for residents.

In his commemorative speech, Governor Koo Inmo stated, "I am pleased that the county office building has been completed safely," and added, "I would like to thank all the residents for patiently enduring various inconveniences. Through this expansion project, we will utilize the county office as a space that leads regional development by improving resident convenience and administrative efficiency."
