As of 9:28 a.m. on the 27th, Skin&Skin is trading at 1,342 won, up 20.90% (232 won) from the previous day. CNC International (8.62%), Kolmar Holdings (8.10%), Manyo Factory (7.75%), Korea Kolmar (6.73%), Sehwa P&C (5.63%), Hyundai Bio (4.44%), and Jayjun Cosmetic (2.95%) are also rising together.

According to the Korea Customs Service trade statistics released that day, the export amount of cosmetics from January to May this year was $4.04 billion, an increase of 20.80% compared to the same period last year. If the current trend continues until the end of the year, the annual cosmetics export amount is expected to exceed the previous record of $9.22 billion in 2021. In particular, the diversification of export countries is noteworthy. China, the undisputed largest export country, recorded $1.05 billion, down 11.6% compared to the same period last year, but the United States rose 67.8% to $720 million. The Japanese, Southeast Asian, and European markets are also growing evenly.

Capturing the hearts of Americans through 'direct overseas purchase' centered on indie brands is also one of the recent phenomena showing the popularity of K-beauty. Some products from Manyo Factory and Joseon Beauty are in such high demand on Amazon that they are hard to find. Korea Kolmar, an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) company producing products for these indie brands, is also smiling broadly. A significant number of best-selling products in Amazon's beauty category are Korea Kolmar's ODM products. As of April, Korea's share of U.S. cosmetics imports (about $630 million) was about $138 million, accounting for 22%, ranking first. It has overtaken the previously undisputed number one, 'French-made' products.

Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce company, announced 'Project K-Beauty Go Big' on the 26th. It means supporting the global business success of beauty brands produced by Korean small and medium-sized enterprises. They even held a briefing session for cosmetics companies. In partnership with Korea Kolmar, they will hold the 'K-Beauty Conference' at COEX in Seoul on the 27th. Lectures and business consultations for client companies are planned. It is known that this is the first time Amazon has held an event focusing solely on the 'cosmetics' sector in the global market.
