"There Seems to Be Forces Stirring Up Korea... The Truth Will Be Revealed"

Won Hee-ryong, a presidential candidate of the People Power Party and former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, criticized, "Han Dong-hoon, former Emergency Response Committee Chairman, should have at least made efforts to resolve conflicts with the Presidential Office if he wanted to run for party leader."

On the 27th, Won said on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' "Han tried to do things his way without even having a prior discussion with the President while leading the Emergency Response Committee," adding, "That's not how you handle human relationships."

He then addressed Han, saying, "Have you lived your life only in relationships where subordinates follow orders in a strict vertical hierarchy or with fans who support you?" and "Before becoming party leader, you need to extend a hand first and lower your stance in human relationships or even in marital disputes to clear misunderstandings, but it seems you have never experienced such life lessons."

Regarding the failed meeting between Han and Hong Joon-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, Won commented, "Han should approach and resolve this even now," and questioned, "Can you lead the party with Mayor Hong in a hostile state?" Won added, "He betrayed Mayor Hong and had others make calls like prosecutorial summons," and said, "Winning people's hearts, soothing and reassuring those who feel hurt or anxious is not easy."

On the 25th, the People Power Party completed candidate registration ahead of the July 23 party convention. Four candidates, including Won, Han, and lawmakers Na Kyung-won and Yoon Sang-hyun, registered for the party leader election.

Regarding Han's candidacy for party leader, Won said, "When I met him last month, he said he wouldn't run, so I was surprised by his sudden urgency." Won added, "I wonder if someone beside him whispered, 'You lose either way,'" and expressed concern about those around Han. He also said, "Now that polls are coming out, those around Han seem to be urging him out of impatience, fearing he might lose the opportunity if he doesn't act now," and predicted, "Soon, the truth will emerge behind the scenes."
