Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) announced that it will hold the “Smart Inclusive Health and Care Hub Seongdong” expo on July 2, where health and care-related information using smart technology can be experienced all in one place.

“Smart Inclusive Health and Care Hub Seongdong” was prepared to promote and allow residents to experience excellent projects related to care and health using smart technology in Seongdong-gu, so that residents can feel closer to and better understand the smart inclusive city Seongdong.

Co-planned by Seongdong-gu and the Seongdong-gu Community Social Security Council, the expo will feature 27 institutions and companies related to smart care and health, including excellent local health management and smart care project organizations and social economy enterprises in Seongdong-gu, operating 29 booths for exhibitions, consultations, and experiences. A comprehensive welfare consultation desk will also be operated to provide various welfare information and consultations.

The Smart Care Zone and Healthcare Zone will be operated separately at the 1st floor Rainbow Lounge and the 3rd floor auditorium of Seongdong-gu Office.

First, the Smart Care booths will be set up at the 1st floor Rainbow Lounge of Seongdong-gu Office. Visitors can experience software developed to improve cognitive function and prevent dementia, as well as educational kiosks for digitally vulnerable groups. They can also try on smart glasses that convert real-time voice into subtitles and biometric measurement devices that monitor health just by wearing them.

At the entrance of the auditorium on the 3rd floor of the district office, a smart exercise equipment experience booth for exercise and rehabilitation will be operated. Visitors can try various types of equipment and check their health status based on measurement results.

Inside the auditorium, health and care information can be viewed at a glance. In the Smart Care Zone, visitors can experience demonstrations of various artificial intelligence IoT devices used by local smart care organizations, an introduction to a monitoring platform for preventing solitary deaths including the Smart Check-in Service, exhibitions and support content demonstrations of AI speakers, and safety management solutions for vulnerable elderly people.

Opposite the Smart Care Zone, the Healthcare Zone will provide various health consultations and customized information with the participation of 11 institutions. Health information on smoking cessation, alcohol moderation, nutrition, and physical activity, depression screening tests and counseling, oral health quizzes, promotion of the visiting health keeper program, as well as blood pressure and blood sugar measurements and nutritional disease health consultations will be available.

In addition, guidance on essential health information such as the local drug safety center and how to report adverse drug reactions will be provided.

Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “This event will be a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of health and welfare and to experience innovative technologies and services, so I hope many people will participate.” He added, “We will continue to implement a happy smart inclusive city Seongdong with welfare and health policies that carefully embrace the daily lives of residents.”
