The fire that broke out at an auto parts heat treatment factory in Jungri Industrial Complex, Naeseo-eup, Masanhoewon-gu, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, at 5:16 p.m. on the 26th was completely extinguished in about an hour.
According to the Changwon Fire Department, the fire is believed to have started momentarily during the final stage of the heat treatment process, when parts were being dipped into heat treatment oil.
At the time, all workers except for two had already left for the day.
The two workers on site escaped outside the factory immediately after the fire broke out, so there were no casualties.
There was an LPG storage facility right next to the site of the fire, but fortunately, the flames did not spread.
The fire department deployed 44 firefighters and 18 pieces of equipment, and completed extinguishing the fire by 6:47 p.m.

At one point, thick black smoke from the fire covered the sky in the area, resulting in 50 emergency calls to 119.
Fire response level 1, which mobilizes personnel and equipment from the local fire station and nearby Haman Fire Station, was issued 20 minutes after the fire broke out at 5:36 p.m., and was lifted at 6:07 p.m. when the main fire was brought under control.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
