Recruiting Participants for a One-Week Trip in Suncheon

‘Suncheon Diary’ for Residents Outside Gwangju and Jeonnam, Until July 5

Suncheon City in Jeollanam-do announced that it is recruiting participants for the ‘Suncheon Diary (One Week Travel in Suncheon)’ program until July 5.

This stay travel project is part of Jeollanam-do’s ‘One Month Travel in Namdo’ initiative, designed to directly experience the charms of various places in Suncheon and promote them through online media such as SNS, aiming to brand Suncheon tourism and revitalize the local economy.

The program is open to anyone aged 18 or older residing outside the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions who wishes to travel to Suncheon.

The city plans to select about 10 teams (up to 20 people) by reviewing travel plans, SNS utilization, and promotional abilities, giving preference to influencers and experts related to animation or K-content who can actively promote Suncheon City.

Participants will undertake travel tasks such as promoting Suncheon’s tourist attractions, staying at garden workation accommodations, and creating content for ‘My Own Suncheon Travel Course’ during a free travel period of 7 to 10 days.

Upon completing all travel tasks, participants can receive up to 150,000 KRW per day to cover accommodation and experience activity expenses. However, participants must stay in Suncheon for the entire schedule and engage in travel activities for at least 50% of the time.

One change from last year is the opportunity to participate in a program that allows staying at garden workation accommodations, a work style combining vacation and work, where work, rest, and tourism are all possible in one place.

A city official said, “We hope this will be an opportunity to enjoy the shining moments of day and night in Suncheon, where you can experience beautiful natural environments such as Suncheonman National Garden, Suncheonman Bay Wetland Reserve, Songgwangsa Temple, and Seonamsa Temple, along with various activities.”
