Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station '119 Citizen Lifeguard Corps' Launch Ceremony

Gwangju Metropolitan City Bukbu Fire Station announced on the 26th that it held the inauguration ceremony of the ‘119 Citizen Water Rescue Team’ on the 3rd floor conference room of the main office the day before.

The ‘119 Citizen Water Rescue Team’ is an organization established to prevent water-related accidents, conduct promotional activities, promptly implement safety measures in emergencies, establish an on-site dispatch system, and ensure citizen safety.

Starting from the 1st of next month, the Bukbu Fire Station 119 Citizen Water Rescue Team will conduct twice-daily patrols on foot along the waterside at Gwangjuho Lake Ecological Park on weekends and holidays for two months, and provide water safety accident prevention education to visitors.
