Gangbuk-gu, Seoul announced on the 26th that District Mayor Lee Soon-hee attended the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's on-site inspection of the 'Uiryeong Forest Cultural Village Nuri-gil' project on the 25th and emphasized the necessity of creating the Nuri-gil.

On that day, Mayor Lee stressed to the Ministry of Land officials and evaluators that as the number of visitors to the Bukhansan Dulle-gil continues to increase, the Uiryeong Forest Cultural Village Nuri-gil is necessary for the rest and safety of Seoul citizens.

Earlier this year, Gangbuk-gu applied for the Uiryeong Forest Cultural Village Nuri-gil creation project by participating in the Ministry of Land's '2025 Greenbelt Resident Support Project' contest. The Uiryeong Forest Cultural Village Nuri-gil project involves installing deck roads, landscape gardening, photo zones, and convenience facilities along a total length of 1.43 km, from Bukhansan Ui Station to Uidong Family Campground, Hanilgyo Bridge, Wolbyeokgyo Bridge, and connecting to the Bukhansan Dulle-gil. The Ministry of Land's review results are expected to be announced around September this year.

Mayor Lee Soon-hee said, "Since the full opening of Bukhansan Uiryeong-gil in March, the number of citizens visiting Bukhansan Dulle-gil has gradually increased. This project is essential to ensure citizens' safety and to create an attractive local landmark, so we will do our best to be selected in this year's Ministry of Land contest."
