The Metropolitan Area Express Railway (GTX) Line A Guseong Station will begin commercial operations starting with the first train at dawn on the 29th. The first train departs from Guseong to Suseo at 5:37 AM and from Guseong to Dongtan at 5:59 AM.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Rail Network Authority announced on the 26th that civil engineering and architectural works at Guseong Station have been completed, and comprehensive test runs and pre-use inspections have been conducted to verify train operation safety and user convenience.

Riding the GTX, it will take only 7 minutes from Guseong Station to Dongtan Station (about 50 minutes by bus, about 25 minutes by car) and 14 minutes to Suseo Station (about 36 minutes by subway, about 40 minutes by car).

GTX-A Guseong Station is connected via an underground passage to Guseong Station on the Suin-Bundang Line (Cheongnyangni~Incheon), and integrated metropolitan area transfer discounts will apply.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Yongin Special City have adjusted bus routes and expanded parking lots to improve the connecting transportation system in line with the opening of GTX-A Guseong Station. Eight additional buses will be added to seven routes expected to have demand, including Mabuk, Jukjeon, and Dongbaek directions, reducing the bus intervals by up to half.

Among the 14 bus routes stopping on National Road No. 23, located 200 meters from the newly established Exit 4 of Guseong Station, the stopping locations of seven routes, including No. 690 (Yongin Terminal~Suji-gu Office Station), will be adjusted to in front of Exit 4 of Guseong Station.

The terminal locations of six bus routes, including No. 29-1 (Jukjeon Station~Bojung Station), which have Bojung Station near the Suin-Bundang Line as their terminal, will be changed to extend operations to Guseong Station.

A new village bus route (No. 502) directly connecting Yeonwon Village, Gyodong Village, and Mabuk IC section is also being promoted, and considering that the last GTX-A train arrives at 12:53 AM (bound for Dongtan) and 12:33 AM (bound for Suseo), six bus routes will extend operations until 1:05 AM to 1:10 AM.

The number of parking spaces at the public parking lot of Guseong Station, currently 169 spaces, will be increased to 339 spaces, allowing private car users to use it conveniently.

In line with the additional opening of Exit 5 at GTX-A Guseong Station at the end of this year, a new bus stop will be established near Exit 5, and five bus routes will be adjusted to pass through there.

Yoon Jin-hwan, Director of the Railway Bureau at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "With the opening of Guseong Station, residents near Yongin will be able to use the GTX more conveniently," and added, "We will also thoroughly manage the project for the GTX-A section from Unjeong to Seoul Station, scheduled to open at the end of this year."
