On the afternoon of the 25th, Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, attended the '2024 Yangcheon-gu Veterans Family Festival' held at Haenuri Hall in Haenuri Town.
In celebration of the Month of Patriots and Veterans, the event was held to honor and express respect and gratitude to those who have devoted themselves to the nation. About 300 national merit recipients and their families attended, and the program proceeded in the order of ▲ Commendation for exemplary merit recipients ▲ Guest speeches ▲ Veterans family festival performances.
Before the ceremony, various booths were operated, including a health booth where blood pressure and blood sugar could be measured, and an eco-mileage booth promoting energy saving.
The consolation performance for veterans' families was conducted in the form of a story-type talk concert accompanied by music. While commemorating the Month of Patriots and Veterans, the performance conveyed gratitude and respect for those who dedicated themselves to the country through storytelling, creating a gentle emotional impact.
Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, “We will continue to do our best to honor and improve the welfare of the veterans' families in Yangcheon-gu.”
