Efforts of Sinan Police Council Draw Attention, Conduct Education to Strengthen Support for Socially Vulnerable Groups
Jeonnam Sinan Police Station (Chief Lee Eul-shin) announced on the 25th that it conducted human rights violation prevention education for the producers and workers of Sinui-do solar salt production in the jurisdiction.
In this education, the human rights conditions of salt farm workers and activities to protect socially vulnerable groups were covered, along with guidance on legal matters such as drafting labor contracts and complying with minimum wage, and promotion of human rights violation prevention.

Since 2018, Sinan Police Station has formed a 'Permanent Council for the Protection of Socially Vulnerable Groups' together with related organizations, holding quarterly meetings and joint inspections.
Chief Lee Eul-shin urged, “We will conduct inspections to prevent human rights violation incidents involving salt farms and aquaculture workers, establish safe security infrastructure tailored to the characteristics of island areas, and prepare security measures to protect socially vulnerable groups. We also ask producers to actively cooperate,” and promised efforts to create a safe working environment.
Through this education, it is expected that awareness of human rights violation prevention among local producers and workers has increased and that it has helped in complying with laws and regulations.
