Final Report on the Establishment of the Investment Plan for the Local Extinction Response Fund Service

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the "Final Report Meeting on the Establishment of the 2025 Local Extinction Response Fund Investment Plan" at the Daetongmaru Hall of the county office on the 24th.

About 30 people attended the meeting, including Acting County Governor Lee Gwidong, members of the public-private-industry-academia cooperation working council, heads of departments and team leaders in charge of fund projects, and representatives from the service agency.

The meeting proceeded with the final report from the service agency responsible for the local extinction response fund investment plan, followed by a report on the preliminary selection planning consulting results of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups regional innovation contest project by Jeonnam Technopark.

The investment plan presented three key strategies reflecting residents' opinions and regional characteristics: fostering and supporting youth agricultural entrepreneurship jobs and self-reliance, creating a hub-type livable residential environment, and establishing a regional-based educational ecosystem.

In particular, the plan focused on building the "Gokseong-type Population Vitality Value Chain" to attract and settle young populations, strengthening the connectivity between projects.

To establish this plan, Gokseong-gun received a total of three consultations: two from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and one from the Jeonnam Research Institute, and plans to submit the final investment plan to Jeollanam-do on the 26th.

Acting County Governor Lee Gwidong said, "This year, competition among local governments will be fiercer due to the redistribution system reform," adding, "We will do our best to secure the maximum amount of funds for the successful implementation of the planned fund projects."
