The Rowing Team of the National Pukyong National University Sports Promotion Center (Director Kim Younghun) won the overall runner-up in the men's university division at the 50th Jangbogo National Rowing Competition.

The Pukyong National University Rowing Team (Coach Lee Juncheol) participated in the men's university coxless pair event at the competition held at the Busan Seonakdong River Rowing Stadium from the 22nd to the 24th. Athletes Choi Hanseok and Kim Jinyeop won the silver medal by finishing second, and Choi Hanseok also took the bronze medal by finishing third in the single scull event.

In addition, in the quadruple sculls, Kim Youngjun, Lee Wonseop, Kim Jinyoung, and Kim Jinyeop competed and finished fifth, which contributed to the team's overall runner-up result based on the combined scores.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Jangbogo National Rowing Competition, which is considered the most prestigious among national rowing competitions. Pukyong National University holds the record for 16 overall championships at this event so far.
