Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Geumyang Employment Club Conducts Corporate Tour at Geumyang Headquarters

On-site Job Experience in the Secondary Battery Industry

Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced that students from the Geumyang Employment Club recently visited the Geumyang headquarters for a company tour and recruitment briefing session.

The Geumyang Employment Club at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology was formed last May with 29 students from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electric Vehicle, Electrical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. The club was established as part of the 2024 LINC 3.0 (Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation) project to share knowledge and experience related to employment in Geumyang's secondary battery production sector.

The company tour held on the 21st included a tour of Geumyang's PR center, a recruitment briefing session, and a Q&A session with current employees from the battery manufacturing team.

Lee Jinhyun, a sophomore in the Department of Electric Vehicle, said, "It was a valuable experience to directly visit the site and gain a detailed understanding of the company and job roles that I had only vaguely imagined before. Learning about Geumyang's history and the secondary battery business was meaningful and greatly helped me prepare for employment."

Lee Hwasu, head of the Career Support Center at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology, emphasized, "Introducing students to globally competitive companies and providing opportunities to understand both theory and practical work through company tour programs will greatly enhance students' job competencies. We will further activate the employment club through close cooperation with Geumyang and strive to nurture talent in the secondary battery field."
